Dear, parents.

I have issued students with a copy of my weekly communication book details. I need to do this due to a lot of issues with students and their communication books, E.g. bringing the book, handing it in, and writing in it. I don't want to waste precious teaching time. This is a positive approach which is needed when students seem hard to focus, especially in a double period. Focusing my class time on teaching English, classroom management, and enjoying my class is the priority for me.

All students were given this copy. They have the choice to stick it inside the book, or they can write the details in. If students write the details in, they can come see me for an extra reward. I hope this will encourage the whole class to improve and not be lazy.

Below is the worksheet covered today. Please remember students should keep these worksheets at home to study for the test on Monday.
FYI I have started to title the weekly test review worksheets as `English Worksheet`

Because we missed science on Monday, I tried to squeeze the science class into our schedule today. Students enjoyed learning about water, where it comes from, and where it goes. Below you can find the science worksheet.

Please explain the importance of my worksheets. I take the time to make them so they can learn and benefit more from my class. They are also useful for reviewing for future tests.
Today a student actually threw one of my worksheets in a muddy puddle. I will not accept this disrespect and will report directly to the parent\s of any child who shows me or my worksheets disrespect.

P.s Thank you to those parents/students for bringing a folder to put their worksheets inside. 🤍🙏

Dear, parents. Today we covered some Wonders, although students told me some pages were already finished.  We did the first two pages no problem. However, when we came to the last two, it was already filled out. I'm not sure why, and will try work that out tomorrow.  Today we had experience class, which seemed to go okay. Students seem to enjoy learning about Africa art patterns and making their paperplate necklaces. The only issue was with some students standing up and  walking around instead of working on their own project. I repeatedly asked them to wait until break and go back to their seats. Sadly, I eventually shouted to tell them to sit down. This worked, but I don't feel comfortable having to raise my voice so much for a few students who wouldn't follow the rule. Please encourage your children to listen, learn, and respect. Students were sent home with a mocktest. I covered the material during the class, so they should be able to complete i...

Dear, parents.  Please find the communication book copy below. I edited it and tried to make it easier to understand. I'm not sure why I was given a file that didn't look exactly like the communication book. Anyway, I edited it so students will not be confused anymore.  As for homework, students should always  read the story in their own time during the week. Students will copy VW words everyday, and read a weekly conversations each day. On the Thursday and Friday students should review for the test. This may mean having a mocktest to review, although I am happy with the results from my first weekly test. Therefore, I will not provide a mocktest for this coming weekly test.  Students took my weekly test this morning and I am happy to say that 13 students scored 100%, 11 students scored over 70%, and 1 student scored less than 70%.  I am very proud of them all. I can clearly see their drive to learn and improve.  That being said, I do...
